Who Formulated It
Mario Limaduran, founder and formulator.
Born in La Paz, Bolivia. B.S. in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University, summa cum laude. Professional kitchens including Michelin-starred restaurants in Los Angeles. Director of Culinary and Product Innovation at Trifecta Nutrition, where formulation and food manufacturing were daily operations, not theory. Performance nutrition roles at EXOS and UFC, NBA, USWNT & USYNT cooking for elite athletes where dosing, bioavailability, and ingredient function were operational decisions with measurable outcomes.
That background changes the questions you ask. Not "does it taste okay?" That's the bare minimum, but rather: is the dose high enough to matter? Is this the right species? Does the extraction method preserve the active compounds? Is there third party lab data?
Most founders in this category cannot ask those questions, because they have never worked anywhere those questions carried consequences.
Where It Comes From
Bolivia has been overlooked. Magic Munch exists to end that.
The coffee is single-origin Bolivian, grown in Caranavi at 1,600 meters above sea level. Cup score: 85 to 87. Sourced through a direct trade relationship with Buena Vista, Bolivia's premier specialty coffee producer.
Mario, our founder, traveled to Santa Cruz, cupped five coffees, brought three back to Denver, and worked with Kevin - our roaster - to select the one that would hold up against the extract. A real pairing, not a workaround.
Bolivian coffee at this quality level is rare in US distribution. Magic Munch has direct access.
