What a Certificate of Analysis Is
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document produced by an independent laboratory after testing a product sample. It reports:

A real COA is a document you can open, read, and cross-reference. It is the receipt behind every claim a brand makes. If a brand says "lab tested" but does not link a document you can read, that is a claim. A published COA is proof.
Most mushroom coffee brands do not publish a COA. We do.
What The Labs Tested
The labs tested the mushroom extract blend in Magic Munch mushroom coffee for beta-(1,3)(1,6)-glucan content, including a functional mushroom complete panel testing composed of 12 bioactive compounds found in multi-species functional mushrooms, including but not limited to Adenine, Adenosine, and Erinacine C.
Beta-glucans are the specific, structurally defined polysaccharides that are the primary bioactive compounds in medicinal mushrooms. Adenine, Adenosine, and Erinacine C are functional bioactive compounds, call them micro-nutrients, of mushrooms that have various different benefits for the human body.

How to Read These Numbers
Beta-glucan content of the extract: 44.7%
This means 44.7% of the mushroom extract powder, by weight, is beta-(1,3)(1,6)-glucans. The rest is other compounds naturally present in the mushroom fruiting body: proteins, fiber, minerals, and other polysaccharides. This is the full spectrum. Nothing was discarded.
Total beta-glucans per bag: 16,992mg
The bag contains 38g of mushroom extract (19g Lion's Mane + 19g Turkey Tail). At 44.7% beta-glucan content, that yields 16,992mg of beta-glucans per bag. This is a measured value from the COA, not a calculated estimate.
Beta-glucans per serving: 944mg
Divided across 18 servings, the per-serving beta-glucan figure is 944mg. This is within the range studied in peer-reviewed research for immune cell activation. Clinical studies on mushroom beta-glucans typically range from 500 to 3,000mg daily for measurable effects.

Each serving contains 1,056mg of Lion's Mane 1:1 extract and 1,056mg of Turkey Tail 1:1 extract, for a total of 2,112mg of verified mushroom extract. These amounts are printed on the label. What 1:1 Hot Water Extraction Means
The mushroom extracts in Magic Munch are 1:1 hot water extracts. Here is what that means, step by step:- The whole mushroom fruiting body is harvested and dried
- It is milled into a fine powder
- The powder is extracted in hot water at 90 to 100 degrees Celsius for approximately 3 hours
- The water is evaporated
- The remaining extract is spray-dried into a final powder
Why "Nothing Discarded" Matters
A 1:1 extract preserves both soluble and insoluble beta-glucans. Soluble beta-glucans are the compounds your body absorbs readily. Insoluble beta-glucans are part of the mushroom's fiber structure and contribute to gut health. A concentrated extract, by contrast, discards the insoluble fiber to produce a higher concentration of soluble compounds. That means a lower total beta-glucan count, even if the percentage looks higher.Active Constituents

What We Are Not
We volunteer the inconvenient facts because that is strong proof of the transparency claim.
The coffee is not certified organic.
The mushroom extracts are Certified Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, and Halal. The coffee is not. We state this on the label, on the product page, and here. If a brand only tells you what sounds good, you cannot trust what they say. We tell you what does not sound good, so you can trust what does.
The extract is not concentrated.
A 1:1 extract is not concentrated. That is the point. Concentration discards the insoluble fiber and the insoluble beta-glucans. We preserve everything. The selling point is completeness, not concentration.
Two species, not five or twelve.
Many brands list 5 to 12 mushroom species on their label. The amounts per species are usually undisclosed, and when the math is done, the dose per species is often too low to matter. We use two species at meaningful, verified, published doses. The full spectrum of each species is preserved.
Mycelium Fermented Grain vs. Fruiting Body
This is the transparency problem the mushroom supplement industry does not want to talk about.
Mycelium Fermented Grain (MFG)
Mycelium fermented grain is the practice of growing mushroom mycelium on a grain substrate, usually rice or oats. The mycelium digests the grain. The entire mass, mycelium and grain, is then dried and ground into powder. The result is marketed as "mushroom" but is mostly starch from the grain.
MFG contains high starch and minimal beta-glucans compared to fruiting body extract. It is cheaper and faster to produce. It is the industry standard for brands that do not explicitly state "fruiting body" on their label.
What Magic Munch Uses
100% fruiting body extract. Zero mycelium fermented grain. The fruiting body is the mushroom itself, the part that grows above ground, where beta-glucans and other bioactive compounds are found in the highest concentration. This is stated on the label and verified in the lab report.
If a brand does not say "fruiting body" explicitly, ask why.
